'03-'06 Jeep TJ/LJ Big Bore XD Steering Gear Conversion

Quick Overview

The new 8200 series conversion steering gear is the anwser for the failure prone small piston Mercedes ZF steering gear that was used on '03-'06 Jeep TJ’,LJ. This unit also features a larger piston diameter which increases the torque output of the steering gear. This extra torque is Jeeps to overcome steering issues due to larger tires and / or locking differentials have been installed.The SG400R features a ported internal valve skirt and custom machined torsion bar for the cylinder assist addition. The ports for the cylinder assist addition are machined into the casting allowing a oring -6 AN fitting to be screwed into the case taking the away worries of overextending a line and breaking off. The 8200 series is assembled in Texas using all new components and featuring PSC’s exclusive new gear housing. This is not a reworked core housing as the competition uses, this is a 100% new housing that is casted and machined right here in the USA!

NOTE Due to the increased overall size of the gear box in some applications a 1" body lift is required to clear pressure and return lines.
